DMOM2808D 320 × 240 MIPI CSI-2 ToF Camera Module
DMOM2808D gives embedded perception designs a 0.25-4.5 m ToF sensing range in a compact module head. A 320 × 240 global-shutter sensor and 850 nm VCSEL support spatial capture at 10-30 fps. Connect the module to the host pipeline through two-lane MIPI CSI-2, with a 71.8° horizontal × 56.5° vertical field of view for coverage planning.
Key Highlights
- Observe near to mid-range objects with 320 × 240 sensing over 0.25-4.5 m.
- Plan spatial coverage using a 71.8° horizontal × 56.5° vertical field of view.
- Bring the sensing head into an embedded pipeline through two-lane MIPI CSI-2 at 10-30 fps.
- Fit the optical head into compact equipment with a 21.00 × 9.50 × 6.33 mm body.
Overview
DMOM2808D combines the ToF sensor and 850 nm, 2 W VCSEL illumination in a small sensing head. The 30-pin connection exposes MIPI data together with SPI, I2C CCI, synchronization, reset and error signals for the embedded host architecture.
Use the module where distance coverage and optical placement need to fit around a robot, vision system or interactive device. The host integration path includes the carrier, MIPI capture driver and depth-processing pipeline.

Applications
Robot-gripper and machine-vision input
Place the optical head around the object region to supply spatial input for host-side positioning and robot-gripper vision. Its 0.25-4.5 m range supports selection across nearby objects and a larger working region.
Gesture and AR/VR interaction
Use the sensing data in a host pipeline for hand, finger or virtual-object interaction. Choose the module position around the working volume and include capture-to-application timing in the design.
People and face-related capture
Depth can provide geometric input for localization, motion analysis and face-related software. Our face-system integration guide explains how sensing, recognition and authentication fit together.

Host and mechanical integration
Capture and processing
Plan the MIPI receiver, lane mapping, reference clock, carrier and driver around the embedded host. The connector also provides control and synchronization signals for the module connection. A USB evaluation route uses additional processing and interface hardware; compare DM5005A for a complete USB depth-camera route.
Supply and optical placement
Provide the sensor’s 3.3 V rail and the VCSEL’s 4.6 V rail with the current capability shown above. Use the connector drawing to plan FPC orientation and available stack height. Keep the lens and diffuser apertures clear of the enclosure, and include the final cover window in calibration. The ambient-light and installation guide connects target materials, lighting and optical placement to the evaluation plan.
Compare the near-field option
For a 940 nm design working from 0.2-2 m, consider DMOM2508CL. DMOM2808D uses 850 nm illumination and covers 0.25-4.5 m. Both offer 320 × 240 sensing and two-lane MIPI CSI-2; their VCSEL supply requirements differ. Our ToF module guide explains the available host routes.
