Product selection

Can DOMI help me choose a ToF sensor or depth camera?

Yes. We offer ToF sensors, embedded camera modules and RGB-D cameras for different sensing and integration needs. Tell us what your device needs to measure or observe, and we can help narrow the candidate models around distance, coverage, output and host connection.

You can start with our product catalog. If you have not chosen a model, describe the task in your own words.

What information helps with product selection?

A useful starting point is your application, nearest and farthest working distances, target size and materials, and the area you need to observe. Add lighting conditions, mounting space, host platform and preferred interface when known.

For a moving target, include its speed and the update timing your application needs. A sketch or a short description of the installation can help us understand the sensing position. Start with what you know; you can add details as the project develops.

Should I start with a USB camera or an embedded MIPI module?

A USB depth camera connects to a host through USB. An embedded MIPI module suits designs that integrate camera capture, power and processing into the host system. The choice depends on your host, required data and the integration work planned for your product.

Our ToF camera module guide compares these hardware routes. For color images alongside depth, explore our RGB-D cameras. Software and output details should be matched to the specific model.

Sample evaluation

How do I arrange a sample evaluation?

Contact us with the candidate model, application, quantity needed for evaluation and intended host platform. If you are still choosing a model, include the working distance, target and installation conditions.

We can help identify a candidate configuration and discuss sample availability, pricing and the evaluation requirements for your project.

Where can I find specifications and integration information?

Start with the technical specifications and resource links on the relevant product page. These provide the model-specific starting point for distance, field of view, outputs and host connections.

For integration questions, include your model, hardware or firmware version if known, operating system, processor and development language. This helps us discuss the documentation, tools and software route relevant to your configuration.

What should I include in my evaluation plan?

Use representative targets at the intended distances and mounting angles. Include the lighting, target movement and optical window or enclosure planned for the device, together with the host and software configuration.

Define the result you need to assess, such as distance error, useful depth coverage, update timing or an application output. These details give us a practical basis for discussing the candidate hardware and your next evaluation step.

Customization & integration

Can I discuss a custom ToF camera or module configuration?

Yes. We can discuss your requirements for field of view, working distance, optical arrangement and host interface. Start with the sensing task and the changes you need from an existing product.

We review the requirements against the proposed hardware route so that the configuration, development scope and evaluation work can be discussed together. See our engineering capabilities for an overview.

What should I include in a customization brief?

Include the application, target objects, working distances, coverage area and operating environment. Add mechanical dimensions, mounting or window constraints, power supply, host interface and required output.

Your current development stage, expected evaluation quantities, production plans and target schedule help frame the discussion. If a requirement is still open, describe the design trade-off you are considering.

How do I discuss software and host integration?

Tell us the candidate model, processor, operating system and version, interface, development language and data your application needs. For RGB-D projects, include whether you need color images, depth, point clouds or image alignment.

We can review those requirements with the model-specific software and output information. For an existing prototype, include the hardware and firmware versions and a description of the integration question.

Quotations & orders

What should I include in a quotation inquiry?

Include the model or configuration, intended application, evaluation or production quantity, delivery country or region and target schedule. Mention any required accessories, documentation or customization so the inquiry describes the intended scope.

If you have not selected a model, begin with your sensing requirements. We can discuss the candidate hardware before moving to a configuration-specific quotation.

How do I discuss order quantities, availability and lead time?

Include the model, quantity, project stage and when you need the hardware. Distinguish the initial evaluation quantity from later production requirements so both stages are clear.

We can discuss minimum order quantity, current availability and lead time for the proposed configuration, together with any customization requirements.

How can I contact DOMI about my project?

Use our contact form, email [email protected], or reach us by WhatsApp or phone at (+86) 191 2943 4890.

Our business hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm (UTC+8). Include a candidate model or a short description of the sensing task to help us connect your inquiry with the relevant product information.
