SigmaStar-based 320 × 240 depth camera with point-cloud, depth and IR output, 850 nm or 940 nm options, and up to 30 fps operation.
Key Highlights
The DOMI DM5005A is a USB 2.0 UVC 1.2 3D Time-of-Flight camera platform built around a SigmaStar SoC and a QVGA MIPI depth module. It outputs point-cloud, depth and infrared data in RAW 12-bit format at up to 30 fps.
Two near-infrared options address different working distances. The Rev 1.0 datasheet specifies 0.2-2 m for the 940 nm version and 0.3-5 m for the 850 nm version. Both use a 320 × 240 depth frame and a 70° horizontal × 50° vertical field of view.
The 90.7 × 17.2 mm main board is supplied without an enclosure or heatsink, allowing OEM teams to design the mechanical and thermal solution around their device. This flexibility also means enclosure, heat dissipation, optical windows and laser-safety compliance must be validated at system level.
DM5005A is a practical evaluation and integration platform for systems that need live geometry rather than RGB imagery alone.

FAE accuracy note: The datasheet does not define whether the accuracy expression means the greater or smaller of 2% and 2.5 cm. It also omits target reflectivity, distance, ambient illumination, frame rate and temperature conditions. Confirm the acceptance criterion and test method with DOMI before design freeze.
Rev 1.0 does not publish laser class, operating temperature, ambient-light immunity, ingress protection, connector pinout, calibration flow or certification status. Request the latest integration package for production development.
Yes. DM5005A uses a Micro USB hardware interface, USB 2.0 transport and the UVC 1.2 protocol.
Yes. The Rev 1.0 datasheet lists point-cloud, depth and IR output, with a RAW 12-bit output format.
Yes. It supports 320 × 240 depth resolution and a maximum frame rate of 30 fps. Confirm the achievable rate for the selected output mode and host configuration.
Yes. The 940 nm version is specified for a 0.2-2 m distance range. Validate it with the final optical window, target reflectivity and ambient-light conditions.
Yes. The 850 nm version is specified for a 0.3-5 m distance range. The datasheet does not publish the target or lighting conditions for that limit.
Yes. Rev 1.0 lists SDK support for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Linux. Confirm current operating-system versions, drivers and API availability before selecting the platform.
Yes. The camera is supplied as an integration platform without the enclosure and heatsink. OEM teams can design both around their product, subject to optical, thermal and compliance validation.
Yes. Its QVGA depth, point-cloud and IR outputs make it a candidate for robotics, volume measurement, 3D reconstruction, face sensing and AR/VR prototypes. Final suitability must be qualified in the intended scene.
Yes. It states ≤2% or ≤2.5 cm. Because Rev 1.0 does not define the decision rule or test conditions, confirm the applicable acceptance criterion with DOMI for your working range.
