With the abundance of smart phones, wearable devices, sports cameras and other products, Tof sensing technology will further expand the application opportunities that must have environmental awareness. Now, for many possible applications in transportation, robotics, home automation, smart cities, factories, and warehouse management, object recognition and collision warning are achieved through vision, radar or lidar sensing, and short-distance proximity is achieved through ultrasonic sensors. Detection, motion and posture detection through inertial measurement units (IMU), has become commonplace.
